The Asian League of Institutes of the Arts (ALIA) is the sister network of ELIA.
ALIA was formed in 2012 at the ELIA-ASIA Symposium in Seoul, South Korea with the aim to promote exchange and cooperation between art colleges in the Asia Region.

ELIA and ALIA signed a Memorandum of Cooperation partnership in 2013 'to further define and enhance the working relationship between ELIA and ALIA in support of the joint resolution of both Boards and Executive Committees through information exchange, cooperation and/or collaboration'.
In the promotion and development of Higher Education in the Arts globally, ALIA and ELIA have agreed for
- Regular exchange of information
- Member's participation in each other's activities
- Cooperation in joint events and engagement in joint projects


PARADOX was established in 2003 as part of an initiative of European League of the Institutes of the Art (ELIA) to create an independent forum for furthering Fine Art higher education. It is an independent discipline network; it operates under the auspices of ELIA.

FINE ART EUROPEAN FORUM: PARADOX is a not-for-profit organization established for the support, advancement and advocacy of Fine Art higher education. The primary aim of PARADOX is to represent the issues and developments in Fine Art education in Europe and beyond.




European Association of Conservatories (AEC)

The European Association of Conservatories (AEC) represents the interests of institutes that prepare for the musical profession. At present, it has 248 members in 55 countries, and coordinates Polifonia, the Erasmus Thematic Network for Music, in ccoperation with the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.


The International Association of Film and Television Schools (Centre International de Liaison des Ecoles de Cinéma et deTélévision – CILECT) was founded in Cannes, France, in 1954. By 2015 CILECT includes over 160 audio-visual educational institutions from 60 countries on 6 continents with more than 10,000 teachers and staff that annually train more than 60,000 students and communicate with an alumni network of more than 1,600,000.



International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media. Cumulus is the global association to serve art and design education and research. It is a forum for partnership and transfer of knowledge and best practices.


European Federation of professional Circus Schools / Fédération Européenne des Ecoles de Cirque professionnelles. Founded in 1998, FEDEC is a network of 42 professional circus schools and 13 circus arts organisations located in 26 different countries.



The Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design – is a non-profit consortium of 42 leading art schools in the US and Canada. It was founded in 1991 by a group of 25 presidents who felt a need for the similarly structured art schools to come together so as to mutually develop their schools and programs.



The European Network of Cultural Administartion Training Centres (ENCATC) gathers together higher educational institutions and training organisations dealing with cultural administrations.


The European Network for Contemporary Performing Arts (IETM) is a membership organization that aims to stimulate the quality, development and contexts of contemporary performing arts in a global environment.



The International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA) is the global network of arts councils and ministries of culture.
